listening to this. wondering why i rode my bike home tonight when the snow was way higher than the rim of my tire. picked up a carton of milk from the convenience store. the elderly man suggested it was too dangerous for me to bike. my house was a street away. beach comber. it was as i suspected; nothing happened. a good feeling, a dream. can't trace it to a source.

today i biked in the rain. it was much worst compared to biking in the snow, but i loved it. i think i enjoy biking too much. i am sure one of these days i will get hit. it will most likely be my fault. there is a new island near yemen. hot lava pools nearby. new crust. new place.

Workshop Series:

OCADU Student Press in collaboration with OCADU Student Gallery presents a series of five workshops aimed to develop and enhance the understanding of independent publishing. The workshops are designed to inspire students to explore book arts as a platform for creating, sharing and circulating their work. Through demonstrations of bookbinding techniques students will identify the potential of printed matter and the form of the book.

making more books + new colours for hand-dyed/printed drawstring bags + box

making an edition for me is kind of a love hate relationship. while multiple serves the purpose of democratizing art, every time i look at an edition of hand-pulled prints - aside from the aesthetics, i also consciously think about how much time has been spent on physically printing the edition. i look for that serious dedication, the 'spent time' in work that one devoted to creating a piece. it wasn't a machine that just operated with a switch, but it's a person consciously dedicating this time to make something that will reach a larger audience without losing the quality of an original art.

i like you for what you are.

five yards of muslin from early november. these were supposed to be giant hand dyed clothes with a bleached out textile pattern by screen printing discharge. that didn't go very well so i turned them into drawstring bags for your zines.

the opening for 'get your ass to mars' was last thursday. thank you for everyone who came out. i'm very happy with all my pieces and i think you should go check it out if you haven't yet. i really like everyone's work, especially the doll and the embroidered work laura harte made. they are really really beautiful. the show goes up til the 27th of october.
