Six six years, my room was a resort
on the table everybody intertwined
somebody grew tomatoes
a tomato had fallen beside the sofa
a room the same as it has always been
there was almost nothing to be gained
of course there are also those who don't think so
somebody swung their body without so much as a productive reason
somebody is carrying Japanese tea
somebody absolutely could not sleep
somebody adopted laziness as a life cycle
it was always humid and warm
hot vapor had overwhelmed the entire room
somebody fell from the window and crashed
the tomato beside the sofa remained the same as it has always been

Six Six Years by Yoshinori Henguchi

Reading his collection right now. So surreal yet peppered with details of everyday Japan.
